Building hope that reaches every child

Founded from lived experience, Seeds of Hope Mental Wellness Initiative exists so that no child has to suffer trauma alone.

Founder & Executive Director

We are a young, trauma-informed organization walking alongside children, families and communities in our very first pilot sites. Our work is rooted in transparency, partnership and the long view — small, honest steps toward lasting change.

Building our impact one child, one family and one community at a time.

Our mission is to help every child heal

Become a valued supporter and help us build this from day one.

To nurture resilience in children facing trauma through mentorship, counseling and safe and supportive spaces — so that every child has the chance to heal, grow and thrive.

The Invisible Pain — A Journey Through Depression

By M. Mbithe Wambua

“To those who suffer in silence — your pain may be invisible, but it is not forgotten. May these words be both a mirror and a lantern, reflecting your truth and lighting your path.”
Dedication

The invisible pain is a melody of sorrow carried in silence, often hidden behind smiles and everyday routines. Depression is not a passing mood or a flaw of character — it is a serious health condition that deserves compassion, awareness, and professional care. Seeds of Hope Mental Wellness Initiative was born from this truth, and from Monicah's own journey through it.

Where we are today

A new initiative, growing slowly and honestly.

We're in our earliest chapter — piloting programs with a small number of children, mentors and partners. Instead of claiming numbers we haven't earned, we're focused on getting the work right and measuring what actually changes for a child.

Our story

Told in our founder's own voice.

A short message from Monicah on why Seeds of Hope Mental Wellness Initiative exists — the lived experience behind it, and the children and families it is being built for.

What guides us

Safeguarding, honesty and the long view.

  • Child-first. Every decision passes the "is this good for the child?" test.
  • Trauma-informed. Practice grounded in evidence and dignity.
  • Transparent. We share what works, what doesn't, and where the money goes.
  • Community-led. Local partners and families shape the work.
